Who can join?
The Grand Slam Award encourages amateur dancers to practice, grow, and gain regular competition experience.
Start the year as an amateur. You must be an amateur-level competitor at the time of the first Grand Slam event of the year.
Check your competition history. You are considered an amateur if you have not placed 1st–3rd in a higher-level amateur Mix & Match competition within the past five years.
Keep growing throughout the year. If you place 1st–3rd in an amateur division during the Grand Slam year, you may continue in the amateur division at the remaining Grand Slam festivals that year. From the following year, you are expected to compete in the advanced/pro division at these festivals and similar events.
